One key component of our mission is to reduce death and injury from burns and fire through prevention education. The Arizona Burn Foundation does this through a variety of outreach programs, including Health and Safety fairs.
For most fairs our focus is to educate the children with a very interactive activity. The children learn something about preventing burn injury and win a prize!
VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are needed to help us continue this important program. If you would like additional information about this Foundation program please contact Gina Stenner, Burn Prevention Coordinator at 602-230-2041.
SAFETY TIPS
Visit the NFPA website (National Fire Protection Association) to find safety tip sheets on a variety of fire and life safety topics. You can download, print and share these tip sheets to help spread the word about fire safety.
DON’T LET YOUR CHILD BE A STATISTIC
According to the NFPA, adolescents’ interest in fire is not uncommon. However, in the US each year, this unsafe and unproductive interest causes: $280 million in property damage, 3000 burn injuries, and 400 deaths.
